Leave dull in the dust.

You may not recognize the connection to primary colors in our name. But that's cool. Because all you really need to know about CMY5K is that it's five kilometers of vibrant ridiculousness that will make your face hurt from perma-smile.

Who knew that getting pelted with a different colored powder every half mile or so could be so therapeutic? But it is. CMY5K is a game changer. Now you can participate in a running event where the most competitive aspect is comparing t-shirts post race to see who got the most color.

So round up some friends. Don your plain white tees. And get ready to be baptized in chromatic craziness.

You're looking a little pale.

If you've done a traditional 5K, you know they can be a bit bland. But CMY5K is the running equivalent of Dorothy's house landing on the Wicked Witch. Waves of virginal white runners and walkers will start every 3-5 minutes. Then, at each kilometer, CMY5K staff and volunteers will powder participants in Color Splash Zones. Each zone dispenses a different color; 1K-cyan, 2K-magenta, 3K-yellow, 4K-green, 5K-a combination of all colors.

So what if you should accidentally "taste the rainbow?" Not to worry. The powder is 100% natural and safe.

So, how do you get in on the fun?

Registration is simple:

  1. Click the "Sign up and Play" button at the top of the page
  2. Fill out the form as a single participant or as part of a team (4 or more) with family or friends if you wish. And we strongly encourage creative team names that we invite you share on the CMY5K Facebook and Twitter pages.
  3. Show up with a huge smile and be ready for the craziest 5k you've ever experienced!

FAIR WARNING: The CMY5K is limited to the first 5,000 runners in each city. We anticipate each location to fill before event day so best get your registration shiz together quickly!

What's your cause?

We're always looking for fantastic partners. If you are part of a charity group that would like to be involved in the CMY5k for a charity fundraiser, we'd like to hear about it. We are partnering with only 3 local partners per location. Please email us at if your company is interested in partnership opportunities.
